📍Daunara safari camp in the Okavango delta in Botswana 🇧🇼
In the beginning 2024, I had the privilege of working with Daunara Safari Camp, an exclusive-use camp in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. Founded by David and Lisa Lubbocks with safari expert Matt Coppham, this beautiful camp reflects their love for Botswana and commitment to memorable safaris and positive community impact. I had the honor of being on-site just before the opening, witnessing the final touches being added to the camp. My role involved creating content that showcased Daunara as more than just a luxury safari camp—it’s a home away from home. I developed posts, stories, and videos that highlighted the Okavango’s landscapes, wildlife, and nature, as well as the interior, personalized guest experiences, people, and its strong ties with Elephant havens and the local Daunara village

The main area seamlessly blends with the surrounding Delta, as it is open to the environment. The interior mirrors this connection, with the bar's countertop featuring a reflective design similair to the Delta itself.

Experience unparalleled comfort with spacious rooms featuring elegant bedsteads, modern air conditioning, and a private veranda with scenic views of the hippo pool
Don’t forget to take the outdoor shower, to really immerse into the wilderness.

The food at Daunara combines fresh, lively dishes with distinct flavours that celebrate the fresh produce from the Daunara community garden
A small suggestion: the ice cream is particularly delightful, especially in the hot Botswana climate
As the campfire lights up, the evening transforms into a cozy and inviting setting.
It is amazing way to end a day on safari, having a drink sitting at a campfire discussing sightings.

Evenings in the Okavango Delta are a experience on it’s self. The dark nights with the sounds of wildlife is truly special.
The astrology is amazing as there is almost no light pollution.

After eagerly scanning the horizon for wildlife, we’re finally ready to hit the road—let’s go explore the delta
Daunara translates to ‘‘the place where the lion and buffalo meet’’
Meet the Boro Boys, two lion brothers named after the Boro village. As they mature, they’re nearing the time when they’ll challenge the Daunara pride. Their journey in the wild is just beginning.
Meet one of the mothers of the Daunara pride, she just became a mother. In the video the cubs are barely a month old. They still drink milk, but were eating their first meat.

After a game drive, lets get a cocktail and unwind at the bar! It is a wonderful way to end a day in the delta. Especially with their signature Negronis

Another activity you can do during your stay is visiting elephant havens. Daunara has a close band with the non-profit elephant sanctuary that rescues and rehabilitates orphaned elephants.
